End of July Review

It's only been about 2 weeks since the last update, but it's near the end of the month, and I would like to get back onto that schedule, so here's the latest update.

I haven't worked out much in the last two weeks, so I'm slightly heavier than I was then. However, given the amount of good food I had during my work trip to Texas and my anniversary celebrations in addition to my wife's outstanding cooking, I am content to be where I am.

Here's an updated picture showing my goal to get to 300 lbs by the end of the year. See the post at the end of April for an explanation.

29 July 2008 Workout

Rating: I've been busy with work (a trip to Austin Texas from July 18 to July 22), family (10 year anniversary celebrations with my wife July 23 and 25), and church (congregation was re-aligned July 27). I took some time to work out on either the 28th or 29th, but I don't recall which, and I haven't even had a chance to log it until now. At least it was something - today I woke up in time for a workout, but I hadn't slept very well so I didn't do it.

Sadness Part 4

We have tried to stay out of the loop as far as how counseling has been going for my in-laws. My father-in-law called my wife today asking how much she wanted to know. She said the general overview, and he said that it's done. It sounds like they are starting to divide up the possessions and look for what work they will do to support themselves as individuals.

It's hard for everyone.

Rating: I've noticed that if I work really hard in the first few minutes I tend to stay a little ahead of my 20 calories per minute goal. If I try to ease into the workout, it's harder to catch up.

Long Overdue Review

I meant to update this at the end of May, and the end of June, and now it's mid July. Welcome to the update!

I'm still not down to the 352 lbs that I thought I was starting from with the old scale. I AM down about 29 lbs from where the doctors office said I started from, but that's only about 3 more lbs lost since the end of April.

Rating: I believe this is a new low weight, except that it's about a pound more than I originally thought I was starting at.

Rating: I have realized that I am too busy for 40 minute workouts again. I can much more easily fit it a 10 to 20 minute workout. I am going to stop feeling guilty for not working out for 40 minutes and just do something.
